Winsor and Newton Spray Retouching Picture Varnish

Winsor & Newton's range of spray varnishes offers and excellent alternative to working with brush-on varnishes, giving a simpler, more even application through the use of an aerosol can.

Varnishing your painting after completion is highly recommended to protect it against dirt, grease and general wear & tear, but remember to leave even the thinnest oil paintings to dry for at least 6 months before varnishing, as shrinkage and cracking can appear if varnished too early.

This Winsor & Newton's Artists' Retouching Varnish is perfect for oil and acrylics, and makes a mockery of the waiting time before varnishing, allowing you to apply a temporary coat of varnish when the painting is touch dry before applying a final coat of varnish when it is fully dry.  It is also removable, and dries to a gloss finish.

Orders are dispatched via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded, except larger/heavy orders which will be delivered via courier.

Orders will generally take 2-4 workings days to deliver providing the requested items are currently in stock.  If there is an issue with your order you will be informed by e-mail.
