Watercolour Boards

Information

Those of you who are used to working with watercolour will be wondering why on earth you would ever want to work on a watercolour board.  Well... those of you who are used to working with watercolour will also know the pain of stretching paper and then having to lug around a heavy wooden board with you when you want to paint.

That is exactly why you would want to work on a watercolour board!  As watercolour boards are roughly 2mm thick boards with a textured, sized face, they do not need to be pre-stretched before painting, allowing you to get stuck in to some watercolours without even having to think about it!

Watercolour boards are also surprisingly lightweight, inexpensive and are available a variety of sizes and brands including Daler Rowney, so you can choose the watercolour board that best suits your needs.
