Varnish Brushes

When you’re finished your masterpiece if painting and decide to give it a good coat of varnish to protect it from the elements, you’re going to want a varnish brush that can deliver the smoothest possible finish with the least amount of strokes.

We have a lovely wee selection of varnish brushes available with a variety of widths to suit the size of the painting or your technique, all of which are specially made for applying varnish cleanly and smoothly with the minimum of hair loss.

A good varnish brush should last a lifetime provided it is well kept, and has fairly soft bristles to ensure there is as little brush mark retention as possible and good spring to provide a good level of control over the application of the varnish.
