Scraperboard

Offering a completely different illustration experience, scraperboard is a process of scraping or scoring into a black or white board to reveal the negative tone, and gradually the image is created.

The scraperboard is made from a simple construction of a layer of white China clay on a backing board, coated with black India ink.

We also stock the inverse of this variety of scraperboard with black clay and white ink, giving you a varied choice of illustration boards to choose from.

Scraperboard has been a very popular material with newspaper comics and graphic novels, and has seen an increase in popularity in recent years as it offers a completely unique drawing surface.

Orders are dispatched via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded, except larger/heavy orders which will be delivered via courier.

Orders will generally take 2-4 workings days to deliver providing the requested items are currently in stock.  If there is an issue with your order you will be informed by e-mail.
