Pastel Pencils

Working with soft pastels can often be quite a messy business.  First they get on your fingers, and then somehow it finds its way from your fingers to all over your beautiful drawing, leaving you stuck carefully erasing all the smudgy bits and wasting precious drawing time.

Pastel pencils offer an excellent way of working with pastels, without all of the horrible messy bits (unless, of course, you get stuck in with your fingers!) and allowing you to work with sharper points for finer detail and more linear pastel work. 

Pastel pencils can easily be used alongside regular soft and chalk pastels allowing you to add sharper detail to your drawing that would be difficult to achieve with pastels and can be blended easily for excellent tonal effects.

With a choice of excellent pastel pencil brands such as Conté and Derwent in both individual pencils and a variety of pastel pencil sets, you really are spoilt for choice!
