Block Printing Inks

If you’ve spent hours chopping away at a wee bit of lino, the last thing you want is for all of your hard work to be wasted because you’re using some rubbish inks.

We’ve tried our hardest to bring you some of the best block printing inks available from brands such as Daler Rowney to ensure that your prints are nothing less than fabulous with every print.

There are two different kinds of ink available: water-based block printing inks and oil-based block printing inks, both with their own printing characteristics.

Oil block printing inks are generally preferred for their archival qualities and need to be cleaned with turpentine or white spirit whilst water-soluble block printing inks are quicker drying and can be washed up with soap and water.

Colours can be intermixed providing you’re using the same kind of ink, giving you almost endless possibilities in terms of colour.
